Our review
Packback is a more defensible educational use of AI than automatic essay generation because it can keep the student in the author’s seat. It still needs judgment: feedback can be generic or miss the assignment’s rubric. I would compare a revised draft against the original and ask whether the thesis and evidence actually became clearer, not merely smoother.
